A fun story with pretty illustrations!!

This was such a fun story! The kids loved it. They liked the antics of the clothes once they got out of the attic, and all the pretty illustrations. It reminds me of some of the books I use to read as a kid. It has a wholesome theme, too. The value in old things, and that they should be preserved and cherished. All together, it was a great story and I look forward to reading more books by the author. Highly recommend!

Beautiful art and story

My 4 year old asks to read this every night. She loves that the clothes have a life of their own and go on adventures. Very lovely book with beautiful pictures that feel very nostalgic.

An important message

My 7, 3 year old and I enjoyed this book so much! Not only is it beautifully illustrated, but it conveys a very important message in an ever distant world: old things are to be treasured.

Old clothes are vintage gold.

I really really enjoyed this book. The way they incorporated vintage clothing into individual stories was so interesting. Usually people just throw away old things and don’t give them a second thought. I loved the pictures as you turned each page and almost told the story without you having to read the words. I can’t wait to read this to my grandkids I know they will love the details in each picture.

As a retired educator, I can say that this book was a delight.

As a retired educator, I can say this children’s book was a delight. The illustrations were beautiful and would be very attractive to adults and children. It includes what I call ‘ old fashioned ’ morals, ie. you can learn a lot from older people and things, and helping others and showing kindness to strangers. It has intriguing story lines that make it surprising and enjoyable. In my educator years, I spent many years teaching beginning reading at the elementary levels. I found that ‘Old Clothes’ has some repetitive vocabulary which would have made it very easy to use in my teaching sessions. So, this resource could be very valuable to teachers and parents.
